Time is our most valuable resource, and how we spend it can profoundly impact our lives. Recently, I’ve reassessed how I allocate my time, especially regarding the many platforms and channels I use to share my voice and connect with others. Some of you may know I decided to step back from producing content for Resilience Unleashed Empowerment Services. This decision wasn’t made lightly, but it was necessary to regain some precious time and mental clarity, which allowed me to focus on what truly matters—like my family.
This recalibration of priorities was just the beginning. The more I considered how I was spending my time, the more I realized that my social media habits also needed a serious overhaul. Getting caught up in the endless content creation and platform management cycle is easy, especially when you’re active on multiple social media platforms. For a while, I convinced myself that being everywhere was necessary—that if I didn’t maintain a presence on every platform, I might miss out on an opportunity or fail to reach someone who needed to hear my message. But the truth is, this approach has become unsustainable and, frankly, unnecessary.
If there’s a social media platform out there, chances are I have an account on it. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve been everywhere—posting content, checking for engagement, and trying to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of online communication. But as I’ve taken a step back to examine the value I’m actually getting from all this effort, I’ve realized that not all platforms are created equal.
Three platforms have consistently provided value for me: Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Threads. These spaces allow me to stay connected with friends and family, engage in meaningful conversations, and find content that resonates with me. Facebook has been particularly useful for keeping up with those close to me and supporting my business ventures. On X and Threads, I find myself drawn to discussions about topics that matter to me, and these are the platforms where I receive the most engagement from others. It’s where my voice feels heard and where the connections feel real.
The same cannot be said for the other platforms. Sure, I’ve kept accounts on them and continued to post content, but I’ve noticed a distinct lack of engagement. The content I come across doesn’t inspire or interest me, and the effort I put into maintaining a presence there just doesn’t seem worth it anymore. The fear of missing out—of not being seen by someone who might benefit from my message—has kept me tethered to these platforms, but I’m starting to question that fear. In fact, I’m ready to let it go.
The shift away from producing content for Resilience Unleashed Empowerment Services was a wake-up call. It showed me that I could step back, reclaim my time, and still be effective in the areas that matter most to me. Now, I’m ready to apply that same mindset to my social media presence. Starting today, I’m making a conscious decision to focus my efforts on just three platforms: Facebook, X, and Threads. These are the spaces where I feel I can make the most impact, both for myself and those who follow me.
This doesn’t mean I will delete or deactivate my other social media accounts. They’ll still exist, but I won’t be actively using them. The accounts will be there as a digital footprint of my past activities, but they won’t demand my attention or time. This decision isn’t about closing doors; it’s about freeing myself to walk through the ones that are most meaningful to me.
I’m excited to see how this shift will impact my life. I anticipate that by reducing the noise and narrowing my focus, I’ll be able to engage more deeply with the content and people that truly matter to me. The constant pull of needing to be everywhere will no longer dictate my time. Instead, I can invest that energy into the platforms that give me the most value and satisfaction.
This decision is also about being present—not just online, but in my day-to-day life. By freeing up the time I previously spent managing countless social media accounts, I can redirect that energy toward more meaningful pursuits. Whether it’s spending more time with family, diving deeper into my interests, or even taking on new challenges, I’m ready to embrace a more intentional way of living.
In the end, it’s not about the quantity of platforms I’m on but the quality of the interactions I have on them. I’m confident that by focusing on the platforms that matter most, I’ll cultivate a more fulfilling online presence that aligns with my values and supports the life I want to lead.
This is a new chapter for me—a step toward living more deliberately and authentically, both online and offline. I’m eager to see where this journey takes me, and I’m grateful for the support of those who continue to follow along. Here’s to making the most of our time and focusing on what truly matters.
Stay disciplined. Stay resilient.
