My Push-Up Routine

I do standard push-ups daily. I’ve built them into my daily workout as part of my warm-up before I lift weights. Sometimes I even crank a few out if I have some downtime at work.

Doing standard push-ups only hits the middle part of the chest though. So when I want to hit the upper, middle, and lower parts of the chest I’ve developed a routine based on this Athlean-X video.

The routine goes as follows:

  • Prowler push-ups to failure
  • Rest 90 seconds
  • Standard push-ups to failure
  • Rest 90 seconds
  • Pseudo Planche push-ups to failure
  • Rest 90 seconds
  • Repeat routine a total of 3 to 4 times

By doing standard push-ups daily, this routine at least twice a week, and a weighted chest workout that I will be posting about in the near future my chest is now showing extreme progress. I no longer have the over 40 sag and I’m feeling muscle strength like never before.

As always, find your groove and do what’s right for you. This is just what I’ve developed for me on my journey to being fit.
