History of the Fediverse
I found this great thread on the history of the fediverse by user f00f/eris/continuum/etc. It is a good, brief read for those curious about how the fediverse got started and how it got to where it is today.
All cleaned up and ready to go.
All past blog posts have been deleted. My user account is now Jim and not my full name. The blog posts are now federated to a clean timeline. I needed to do these things to move in the direction I wanted to go here. Where am I trying to go? I want to use this blog as a place to post my short articles and as an activity stream/status update as if it were a social networking site. I’ve tried several other things like Known and Micro.blog, but I find quirks that I’m not happy with and keep going back to WordPress. WordPress isn’t perfect for what I want to use it for, but I hope I can get it close enough. If you want to see what I am up to, stick around, follow the RSS feed, or follow the blog on the fediverse at @jim@jimlunsford.com. I will probably never post anything groundbreaking or profound. It will likely be the most mundane content you’ve ever seen, but it’s mine in my own space.
Please hold for the next available blog post.
I am going to try and do something different with my blog. Please stand by while I work on a few things. Meanwhile, you can always head over to my Mastodon account on TWiT.social to see what I am up to.
