I’m a big fan of the Farmer’s Walk. It is a great exercise to hit your core, legs, shoulders not to mention it helps with posture correction and grip. I used to add this exercise to my routine at least 3 times a week when I had access to a range of dumbbells at my previous place of employment. Now I am limited to a select few dumbbells at my home gym so instead of spending a ton of money on dumbbells for one exercise I found a cheaper alternative. I went to Lowes, bought two 5 gallon buckets, and two bags of sand. Now I have 2 5 gallon buckets that weigh 55.8 lbs apiece. That’s plenty enough for now for me to get started adding the Farmer’s Walk to my routine again.
