RSS feed for tags in Mastodon

Did you know that hashtags in Mastodon have an RSS feed? Just like following users via RSS, all you have to do is add .rss to the hashtag URL.

For example, I like to follow . The URL for that tag on my server is https://twit.social/tags/photography. If you add .rss to that URL like so – https://twit.social/tags/photography.rss will give you access to the hashtag’s .rss feed so you can enter it into your favorite RSS reader and view the feed.

Note – I am on twit.social. Your hashtag URL will reflect whatever Mastodon server your profile is on.

All cleaned up and ready to go.

All past blog posts have been deleted. My user account is now Jim and not my full name. The blog posts are now federated to a clean timeline. I needed to do these things to move in the direction I wanted to go here. Where am I trying to go? I want to use this blog as a place to post my short articles and as an activity stream/status update as if it were a social networking site. I’ve tried several other things like Known and Micro.blog, but I find quirks that I’m not happy with and keep going back to WordPress. WordPress isn’t perfect for what I want to use it for, but I hope I can get it close enough. If you want to see what I am up to, stick around, follow the RSS feed, or follow the blog on the fediverse at @jim@jimlunsford.com. I will probably never post anything groundbreaking or profound. It will likely be the most mundane content you’ve ever seen, but it’s mine in my own space.
